Modavi onlus is an association of social promotion established in 1995 diffused all over the national territory. One of its purposes is the social promotion of an active voluntarism which aim to achieve a new model of society preventing social uneasiness.
Through out its direct and indirect action encourages the spontaneous aggregation and the growth of educative, social and political role of voluntarism and social promotion.
Modavi onlus is a no-profit association that wants to promote the value of active citizenry through voluntarism actions aimed at the areas of social uneasiness on which intervene through concrete initiatives of solidarity and human promotion.

MO.DA.VI onlus (Movimento delle Associazioni del Volontariato Italiano, Movement of the Associations of Italian Voluntarism) is a national association that has been promoting, for more than ten years, the value of solidarity and active citizenry as means of national cohesion and investment for the future of our civilization.
Since 1996 MODAVI onlus has been a leading reality in the Italian no-profit. Among its intervention sectors it has the improvement of educative, social and political role of voluntarism and the promotion of youth participation in the civil and social life of the Country; the promotion of sane behavioral manners and life styles and the defense of family, childhood and motherhood; the prevention of social uneasiness – through concrete initiatives of solidarity and human promotion; the assistance and defense of disadvantaged categories; the setting off of woman's role in every sector; the constant formation and professionalization of its own operators; the promotion of Italian cultural and environmental, legacy and the engagement in spreading human, civil and political rights in poor and emerging countries.

We offer to young volunteers the opportunity to be engaged in the social promotion, above all in the assistance to minors in uneasiness condition.
In this way we promote their personal and instructive growth; we encourage qualifying life experiences and formative occasion for a responsible approach to the Work World and , generally, to life.

We offer several typologies of social services as assistance to elderly, service to childhood and adolescence, social and educational services to family and social secretariat.
Every intervention is inclined to lead the individuality of whom approaches to a service that fits his personal dimension: a reality full of identity, loaded with values and, above all, rich in social and community relations.

Professional Training – Apprenticeship

We provide incentives to the development of Third Sector boosting its professionalization, investing in professional training and in the implementation of its protagonists' competences.
Through professional training actions, guidance and assistance we provide, to volunteers and social operators, competences and useful means to be always updated about the requirements of a world that quickly changes.
We moreover contribute to the development of a third sector able to facilitate the social improvement.

Responsible Tourism

Thinking about a journey not just as an amusement but as a mean of discovery, growth, research and confirmation of personal identity; we think about and we organize journey of responsible tourism – through out travelers can aid us directly in supporting our project of social promotion.
Modavi onlus organize, moreover, camps of knowledge and voluntarism, in Italy and overseas, which allow tourists to help populations, or parts of them, in uneasiness conditions.
Our activities aim to create a new kind of tourism, able to exceed the ruling model that “burns” the destinations, destroying its own existing conditions.

Civil Defence

We promote emergency voluntarism and Civil Defence to grant citizen's security, the tutelage of the community and its human relations, the safeguard of cultural and ambiental legacy. This is an extraordinary resource in order to protect identity and traditions of the places and to defend the patrimony of the national and social cohesion.

International Cooperation

ONG since 1997, MODAVI onlus has been carrying out initiatives to promote and protect the freedom and self-determination of the Peoples; we engage our-self in spreading human, civil and political rights as means of assertion and reinforcement of personal dignity. For several years we have been operating in Countries where these rights have been thwarted; we are, moreover, active part in defending Italian and Mediterranean identity overseas and responsible of several projects in Middle East, Latin America and Eastern Europe.
